Could you share some insights into your background and how you came to join GCX?
I joined GCX in September 2022 as the Security Product Director, bringing with me extensive experience from my previous role as the Global Head of Cyber Security at BT for almost a decade. This involved overseeing the design, implementation, and delivery of security solutions. At GCX, my primary focus is on leading the entire security product development cycle, aligning my expertise with the organisation’s mission. The prospect of collaborating with new partners and vendors within GCX greatly appealed to me, influencing my decision to undertake this role.
What motivates you in your role at GCX, and how do you maintain your inspiration?
What drives me every day at GCX is the chance to contribute to the ever-evolving field of cybersecurity. The dynamic landscape, shaped by the constant evolution of threats and technologies, keeps me inspired. Could you share a specific project or achievement that you are particularly proud of during your time at GCX?
I take pride in GCX’s substantial growth over the past 12 months, marked by the successful launch of cutting-edge products and cyber technologies. This includes additional SOC services encompassing managed SIEM and SOAR services, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Attack Surface Management (ASM), Incident Response (IR); alongside Email Security, Encrypted Traffic Analysis (ETA), and a comprehensive suite of security consultancy services.
How do you approach challenges and overcome obstacles in your work?
Confronting challenges in the realm of cybersecurity demands a strategic mindset. I believe in thorough analysis, collaborative problem-solving, and a proactive approach to innovate solutions.
